The Yorkshire Soap Company is an independent business supplying luxurious handmade soaps, bath products and home scents. Established in 2005, the company has six stores across Yorkshire that are inviting and irresistible spaces, offering a touch of Yorkshire Soap magic!

The stores themselves are carefully designed to appeal to the senses with all aesthetic aspects considered and offer a vast array of products to browse and be inspired by.

When it came to labelling the displays of their soaps, bath products, candles and fragrances, the Yorkshire Soap Company wanted something that was professional, consistent and would reflect their brand qualities.

They didn’t want handwritten cardboard cards, so they approached us for advice on a printer that would deliver the result they required.

We recommended an ID Card Printer that would allow them to easily print their own price tag labels instore quickly and reliably. Usually selected by companies to print their ID cards, a plastic card printer is capable of so much more, as is shown in this case.

We also printed a large volume of branded ‘base’ cards which are then personalised with product details on demand.

The advantages of doing it this way were two-fold. One, a pre-printed base card gives a better quality of print than can be achieved with a Direct to Card printer. The other is cost savings in terms of consumables. Rather than having to buy colour ribbons, the Yorkshire Soap company only need to order black ribbons for overprinting, which are a fraction of the price.
