ECOCard 85: The New Sustainable 1K Smart Card, compatible with most systems.
The ECOCard 85 is an eco-friendly blank 1K RFID card, suitable for personalisation using your own ID card printer.
The cards are made using at least 98% Recycled PVC. When the non-recycled 1k chip is added, this brings the overall recycled element of the card down to 85%.
Available off-the-shelf, these blank RFID cards are compatible with most technology systems.

The cards come pre-printed with the ECOCard 85 logo in very small lettering to identify their Eco credentials.

Is the RFID chip within the card recyclable?
No, the chip within the card is neither Recycled nor Recyclable.
Can I print RFID cards on my direct-to-card printer?
The gold standard is to use a retransfer printer for overprinting on your cards to ensure there is no damage to the chip.
However, you can also run them through a Direct-to-card printer quite successfully as long as you avoid printing on the raised chip area of the card.
We recommend simply setting up your design template to avoid this area for printing altogether.
Can I see a sample card to test?
Yes, we encourage you to ask for a sample card to test on your system if you're in any way unsure. Request a card to test.
I use a MIFARE® card at the moment, will this card work on my system?
The chip used in this card is compatible with MIFARE®, so it’s likely that it will work on your system, however we recommend getting a sample card from us first to test.
