HID Fargo INK1000, The new Inkjet Plastic Card Printer.
As simple to use as your home office printer, the Fargo INK1000 is transforming the way we think about printing ID cards.
With exceptional high resolution print quality and true edge-to-edge printing, the INK1000 gives you the type of result normally only possible with a retransfer printer, but at around half the cost.
Fargo's brand new Inkjet Plastic Card Printer is unique on the market because it uses snap-in ink cartridges, in the same way your desktop printer does at home. This gives it an ease-of-use not found elsewhere, and a lower cost-per-card printing rate, as it doesn't rely on printer ribbon panels like a thermal transfer printer.
High Quality Print - The INK1000 prints your images and graphics at 600 dpi x 1200 dpi high resolution, a standard usually only found in much more expensive printers. It also prints genuinely edge-to-edge - meaning you won't be left with a white border around your cards. which is the case with other Direct to Card Printers.
Easy to Use - Simply snap in the ink cartridge and you're good to go - no ribbons with dye film to worry about.
Affordable - Depending on the complexity of your card design and the saturation of colour used, the cost-per-card will be significantly lower than when using a traditional Direct to Card printer, as you aren't using 5 panels for each colour card. You could produce hundreds more cards than would be possible with ribbons.
Sustainable - No ribbon panels to dispose of or shred.
Small footprint - Small enough to fit on any reception or office desk, and very portable if you're looking to badge attendees at events or conferences.
Reliable - You can depend on the INK1000 to print high quality ID cards and other plastic cards consistently and reliably.
Encoding options - You can choose to add an OMNIKEY card encoding module, which is often used to enable cashless vending or time and attendance capabilities onto your cards, or to print Gift or Loyalty cards using QR codes.
