Material Guide
PVC
Our PVC cards are made from quality, durable plastic and are available with a Matt or Gloss finish. Unless otherwise stated, our PVC cards are 720 microns, the standard thickness of a credit-card.
Biodegradable PVC
Our Biodegradable PVC cards contain an additive that means they will degrade and wear down in microbe rich environments such as biologically active landfill. In terms of print finish, you won’t notice much difference to a regular PVC card.
Unless otherwise stated, our Biodegradable PVC cards are 720 microns, the same thickness as a standard credit-card. They can also be recycled where facilities exist, but not in standard household recycling.
100% Recycled PVC
Our 100% Recycled PVC cards are made from 100% recycled plastic (R-PVC), with a 100% recycled film applied for durability. This post-consumer recycled PCV material is sifted, washed, sterilised and separated to remove contaminants, resulting in a quality material.
Unless otherwise specified, they are 720 microns, the same thickness as a standard credit-card. They can also be recycled in the correct facilities.
Paperboard
Where paperboard is available, this is made from 270gsm paperboard manufactured in the UK from an FSC-certified supplier. They feel a little thinner than a standard credit card.
Our paperboard cards are fully recyclable after use in your standard household recycling.

Need help with your artwork?
We offer an art working service for £25. Add it to your basket and we’ll be in touch when your order comes through.
To help you prepare, we will need:
- A high-resolution file of your logo (ideally an EPS) and any other design assets.
- A note of the colour(s) you want to use (Pantone or CMYK breakdowns) or a graphic to match to.
- A note of the font you want to use. If it’s a non-standard font, we’ll need a copy of this too.

Custom Key Tags.
Double sided, full colour key tags printed to your own design. Small and easy to affix, our custom key tags are like having a mini billboard on your keyring.
Custom Key Tags make perfect mini membership cards, loyalty cards or promo cards to affix to sets of keys. They could also be handy reminder cards for your staff, with health and safety information, checklists or helpline numbers. Also available as 2-part snap off cards, with a card and accompanying key tag.
These are fully customisable, so you could choose to include QR codes that link directly to your website, or include members' names or membership numbers.
Our Key Tags are made from plastic that's 680 microns, which is slightly thinner than a standard credit card.
Quoted prices are for full colour print on both sides, in matt or gloss finish.
If you'd like to include any other features or finishes on your tags, or you'd like us to do card fulfilment (send them out to your database), please contact us for a quote.

Can you set my artwork for me?
Yes. We offer a Design and Art working service for just £25.
You can select this when buying our products online or give us a call for more information.
Can you design my logo for me?
Sorry, but we’re not able to design your logo as part of our art working service.
How long will it take to get my cards?
Unless otherwise stated, our standard turnaround time is 10 working days from card proof approval. When you've signed off the card proof we will get your printed cards to you within 10 working days.
This doesn't apply to printed RFID cards or wood cards, and to highly bespoke orders (for example where bespoke foiling is required).
These will take a little longer. Please ask for details when placing your order.
I’m in a rush, do you do fast track?
Please contact us about upgrading to a faster turnaround. This is usually possible but please contact us to check.
How do I get my artwork to you?
You can upload your artwork at the point of ordering if you have it ready, or you can checkout and email it to us later. Please follow our Artwork Guide when setting your design files.
We can also set your artwork for you for £25. Add the Artwork charge to your basket and we'll be in touch as soon as we receive your order.
Is a matt or gloss finish better?
It depends on what you want your cards to do and long you expect them to be in use, but there are definitely times when we would recommend matt over gloss due to the fact that it doesn’t show up scratches or smudges as easily.
Can I include a number range on my cards?
Yes. You can add number ranges, individual names and personalised details onto each individual card.
We refer to this as ‘variable data’ as it changes on each card. There is a small additional cost for this on top of the card price.
I’m not sure what features I need on my cards, can you help?
If you’re unsure about whether you need to add extra features like barcodes, embossed numbers or spot varnish, give one of our friendly team a call.
We’ll run through your requirements to make sure you aren’t paying for extra features you don’t need.
Can I print different designs on the same run?
Yes. You can change the design of your cards 'mid run' for just £25 for additional design.
For example, if you need 500 membership cards split into 300 'full' members design, and 200 'weekend' members design, we can do this for an extra £25.
Can you print cards in Biodegradable or Recycled Plastic?
Yes, but unfortunately we can't print Key Tags in anything other than PVC.
For regular sized cards we have ‘better’ PVC options including Biodegradable and 100% Recycled plastic cards.
Can you send me some card samples to check before I order?
Yes. Get in touch, let us know what type of cards you’re interested in and we’ll send you some samples in the post.
Do you do different quantities to those listed?
Absolutely. Get in touch and we’ll send you a custom quote.
Can you send out the printed cards to our members on our behalf?
Yes, through our fulfilment and mailing service. Our sophisticated, high speed machines can handle up to 2,000 cards per hour, taking the hard work out of card issuance. We can also personalise base cards with individual details, match up the letter, add any promotional material into the envelope and mail it out on your behalf, at lower prices than you would get through Royal Mail.
